The Drawing

A portrait of your home can capture a lifetime of memories.

I love architecture and drawing buildings. Using pen, ink and watercolour in a free and expressive way, I aim to capture the personality of your home.

Making a commission is easy, fill in the contact form and email me two clear photographs of your home,making sure to capture any features you would like included.Think also about the angle you take the photograph from,including a road /driveway can add interest. I will contact you to confirm specifics, then send a link for payment. Once received, I’ll email a pencil drawing for approval before applying ink or colour. After the pencil sketch is approved you can expect to receive your finished commission in about *two weeks. If you need your drawing urgently I will do my best to meet your requirements.*postal service permitting.

Working from photographs,each original signed portrait is drawn on 140lb watercolour paper using non fading archival carbon ink and Windsor and Newton watercolours. Supplied with quality white mount.

Feature your drawing on greetings cards,post cards,business cards or as a pdf letter head

Are you moving house,have a business premises to promote or simply love your home? Feature the drawing on greetings cards and postcards and add text on the reverse.

Greetings cards (minimum order 20 cards) – from £40 b/w

Size 14 x 14 cm or 13 x 18 cm (the format of your original drawing will suggest which is best ).Cards are supplied flat with pre-folded spine and envelopes.

A5 Post cards (minimum order 100 ) – from £55 b/w

Size 15 x 11 cm image front,text reverse

All art work is posted in a sealed, biodegradable clear cellophane envelope and protected in compostable heavy duty cardboard packaging.


As you are commissioning a drawing, a refund would usually not be given unless, of course, the drawing sustains damage within the postal system.If this is the case, please photograph the damage as soon as possible,email it to me then a second drawing will be issued.Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure the package can be left somewhere dry. Sketch a Street cannot be held responsible for damage caused by the parcel being left outside .

The original drawing remains the sole property of the purchaser. The original drawing cannot be reproduced in any form without permission from the artist.
